Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the Surgical Services Department. The technician will support the anesthesia team before, during, and after procedures, maintain equipment, and assist with transport.

The role involves stocking anesthesia carts, preparing supplies, responding to codes when available, and collaborating with anesthesia, nursing staff, and off-site resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a Hospital Anesthesia Department preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS for HealthCare Providers (BLS/HCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge of equipment including anesthesia machines, electronic monitors, and diagnostic equipment.
• Cleans and checks instruments and equipment related to anesthesia at established levels for safe procedures.
• Restocks used supplies and ensures anesthesia carts and machines are ready for surgery.
• Provides direct, high-quality service to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and anesthetists.
• Responds to physician and anesthetist direction and collaborates with the surgery team.
• Prepares anesthesia supplies and assists during procedures as directed.
