Job summary

Avista Senior Living Management in Sumner, WA is seeking part-time SERVERS/DISHWASHERS to support dining services for residents. Coverage is needed Sun-Sat 7:30am-3:30pm and responsibilities include food prep, dishwashing, and serving meals with care.

Requires at least one year of serving experience, ability to obtain a valid food handler and CPR card, and strong English communication. Flexible scheduling and excellent customer service are essential to provide compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience with serving, kitchen safety, sanitation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid food handler and CPR card.
• Flexibility in scheduling is required.
• Must speak, read, and understand the English language.
• Excellent customer service is a must.

Responsibilities

• Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Terra Pointe.
• Prepares food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
• Performs dishwashing duties.
• Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
• Assists in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis.
• Assists with inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies.
• Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, the dining room etc., as instructed.
• Serves food in dining room, as instructed.
