Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System's Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS seeks a Rehab Tech to assist therapists and support patient care during treatment. This part-time, 24-hour-per-week position involves preparing patients, transporting them, and maintaining a safe treatment area.

You will participate in activities like lifting and ambulation, ADLs, and basic clerical tasks while adhering to safety guidelines and collaborating with clinical staff under supervision.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing patients for treatment under supervision of therapists or staff.
• Performs routine tasks and assists with treatment activities as directed.
• Participates in lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients and/or equipment.
• Assists with ADLs such as dressing and grooming.
• Assists with supervised feeding programs.
• Takes patient blood pressure readings during treatment under clinical staff guidance.
• Transport patients to and from the Rehab Department; environmental cleaning; stocking supplies.
• Issues DME under the direction of the therapist; sets up and cleans treatment area.
• May mentor/train new technician staff; may perform clerical and computer tasks.
