Job summary

Bethany St. Joseph Corporation in Wisconsin is hiring a part-time Cook for the Day shift to prepare and serve nutritious meals for a variety of dietary needs while following food safety requirements.

The cook will supervise Dietary Aides when the department supervisor is unavailable, follow standardized recipes, and honor resident diet orders and allergies. Prior experience in a nursing home or assisted living is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years of commercial cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and personal hygiene requirements.
• Ability to read tray cards and follow dietary orders.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following standardized recipes.
• Review menus and production sheets to determine quantities and items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and work areas.
• Supervise Dietary Aides when supervisor is unavailable.
• Follow resident diet orders and accommodate allergies as needed.
