Prior nursing home or assisted living experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training available. Rotating weekends and holidays are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years of commercial cooking experience preferred. Can be trained on the job.
• Must be knowledgeable of food regulations, food safety, and personal hygiene requirements.
• Demonstrates initiative, dependability, and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals meeting dietary needs.
• Follow standardized recipes exactly and adjust with supervisor if needed.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation; read tray cards for diets.
• Plan cooking schedule to have foods ready on time.
• Rotating weekends and holidays.
