Job summary

Fastenal in Winona, MN is hiring a part-time Data Visualization & Analytics Support to assist in reporting and business processes within the Data Analytics department. This in-person role offers exposure to analytics projects and hands-on data tasks.

You will work with analysts on projects, build visualizations, and learn techniques like regression and time series modeling while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist analysts on projects and provide information to support business decisions.
• Support visualization and reporting projects for intuitive information delivery.
• Contribute to analytics and predictive modeling using customer and sales data.
• Perform data entry, processing tasks and cross-department communication.
• Research the 'why' behind numbers and develop hypotheses.
• Review large data sets with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Learn regression, decision trees, segmentation, and time series methods.
• Develop expertise in analytics tools to improve project speed and quality.
