Job summary

The City of Norfolk, VA is seeking a part-time Data Officer (Data Analyst) to support a randomized control trial evaluation in collaboration with the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney (CWA) office and the Harvard Access 2 Justice Lab (A2J Lab). • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• One year of professional-level data analysis experience.
• Experience with data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and BI tools.
• Experience in data management or research coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with confidentiality protocols and secure data transfer methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and data integrity.
• Proficiency with relevant software and secure file transfer tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate interviews to identify variables for classification and allocation decisions.
• Collect retrospective case file information and secure data for sharing with project partners.
• Manage secure file transfer mechanisms, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist with development and execution of confidentiality agreements and related conversations.
• Collect and transmit additional data points as identified during the project.
• Maintain accurate records of data collection, transmission, and milestones.
