Job summary

The Boulevard Post Acute is seeking an Activities Assistant in Mantua, VA for a part-time position with daily pay. Shifts run Sunday through Tuesday, 10:30 AM to 7 PM, and you will foster meaningful activities to enrich residents' lives.

You will document participation, plan and run activities, and collaborate with the care team to support well-being and satisfaction. The program emphasizes Passion, Respect, and Excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with seniors is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation and engagement in scheduled activities and programs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being through meaningful activities.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals and satisfaction.
• Observe and communicate changes in residents' moods or participation to team members.
• Assist with outreach and events showcasing resident-centered care.
• Complete administrative tasks including audits, reports, and program records.
• Help prepare, decorate, set up, and break down activities and events.
