Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking an entry-level Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support in West Union, SC. You will engage in inventory management, order placement, and coordination of resources to support the customer's onsite operations.

The role offers exposure to supply chain activities and potential schedule flexibility after onboarding and performance goals are met. Ideal candidates are pursuing or hold a Supply Chain/Operations Management background, with strong communication and computer skills,

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills; strong math, detail orientation, and urgency.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages up to 75 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources.
• Manage inventory and place/fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory; execute in-facility fulfillment.
• Source and quote new and existing products.
• Participate in continuous improvement and new business processes.
• Monetize and report the value of supply chain activities to the customer.
