Job summary

Harris Teeter is hiring for a part-time position focused on taking excellent care of customers, operating the cash register, and handling service at the customer service counter. You may also serve as floor monitor and assist as cashier and bagger as needed.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and English proficiency, with physical duties including standing, lifting up to 25–40 pounds, and occasional climbing or reaching. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Complete Company training including new hire orientation and safety training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to perform cash handling and basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs and making every shopping visit pleasant.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently; provide services at the customer service counter; maintain security of funds.
• Perform duties of floor monitor when not on-duty; may be assigned as on-duty floor monitor; perform cashier and bagger duties when appropriate.
• Stand, walk, and perform essential duties; lift up to 25 pounds and occasional up to 40 pounds; follow safety policies.
