Job summary

City of Augusta is seeking a part-time Custodian to keep City facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. The role is 28 hours per week with a primary location at the Augusta Police Department and opportunities to cover other City buildings as needed.

You will perform routine custodial duties, minor maintenance, and general upkeep. Training occurs during normal business hours, with flexible scheduling after training, and the City provides a complete job description on its website.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• 1 year custodial/maintenance experience in a public or multi-use facility.
• Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check to access secure locations in the Police Department facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties, minor maintenance, and general facility upkeep.
• Primary work location is the Augusta Police Department at 7 Willow Street; provide coverage at other City buildings as needed.
• Training during normal business hours with a flexible schedule after training period.
