Job summary

State of Maine seeks a Custodian for the Bureau of General Services in Augusta. This maintenance role involves cleaning and basic repairs under general supervision, with a defined work schedule.

Responsibilities include waste/recycling pickup, floor scrubbing/waxing, vacuuming, dusting, and window and restroom care to maintain cleanliness and appearance; strong ability to follow instructions and adapt as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment related to custodial duties.
• Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Picks up waste and recycle in an office setting in an assigned area.
