Job summary

The Guadalupe Centers is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across its facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, and high-touch surface disinfection to support a healthy work environment.

This role requires 6 months of relevant experience, ability to pass background and drug screening, and physical stamina to lift up to 30 pounds. A HS diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months of proven experience as a custodian or in a similar role.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for floating custodians required.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring supplies are replenished.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables following established procedures.
• Monitor and empty trash bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Maintain a secure and safe environment by promptly addressing spills and hazardous situations.
• Follows assigned work schedule to complete custodial tasks efficiently and on time.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items.
