Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a part-time Custodian in Smyrna, DE to maintain the exterior facilities and support safe, quality youth services. The role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with duties including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Candidates should have experience in custodial work or cleaning in a large facility, be reliable and able to transport themselves to the club, and follow all OSHA and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or custodial work at large facility preferred.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Understand and follow safety guidelines and MSDS/SDS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain hand tools and cleaning equipment to keep floors, walls, carpets, and furniture clean.
• Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required.
• Follow MSDS guidelines for chemical use and storage.
• Perform outdoor cleaning and related tasks (e.g., snow removal) near building entrances.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and report hazards.
