Job summary

The County of El Paso seeks a part-time Custodian to perform routine cleaning and janitorial duties for assigned areas during day or evening shifts. Under direct supervision, you will clean floors, restrooms, windows and surfaces, stock supplies, and operate custodial equipment.

You will drive to county buildings as needed, maintain safety practices, support the maintenance team, and contribute to a high-quality work culture through training and teamwork; a high school diploma or equivalent and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of custodial experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Completes cleaning schedules and ensures proper tools, supplies, and equipment are ordered or transported to work sites.
• Drives to and from county buildings as needed.
• Operates basic custodial equipment such as mops, vacuums, and waxing machinery.
• Uses cleaning, disinfecting, and waxing chemicals safely.
• Inspects equipment prior to and after use and performs maintenance as needed.
• Maintains a safe work area with proper signage and equipment handling.
