Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian in Bellevue, WA to maintain cleanliness across assigned areas and handle hazardous waste tasks as needed. The role requires adherence to safety policies and effective communication with supervisors and teammates.

Shifts are Monday to Wednesday, 2:00pm–6:00pm, offering hourly compensation of about $19.76–$20.76. SBM provides comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required and driving eligibility must be maintained.
• Bilingual a plus; able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
• Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment; knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Work in a team; respond to supervision and directions.
• Fill in during staff shortages and assist shift lead with punch-list items.
