Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and manage hazardous waste processes with careful attention to safety and documentation.

The role requires adaptability, good communication with supervisors and staff, and the ability to follow all safety protocols. Candidates may be required to drive between locations and work a 5:00pm–1:00am Tue–Sat or a rotating 7:00am–7:00pm shift.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for this position based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as scheduled and on daily tasks.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Handle Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of hazardous waste.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and report safety concerns.
