Description

St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan is seeking a part-time custodian for its maintenance team. This person maintains and cleans parish facilities; sets up liturgy, office, meeting and activity rooms; and welcomes and assists visitors with questions regarding locations of parish facilities. As a valuable member of the maintenance team, this person also covers for vacations, sick time, and other out-of-office time of other team members.

The successful candidate will work at least 15 hours per week covering two to four shifts.

Qualifications

• High school degree required
• 2-plus years’ experience in similar position
• Strength, stamina and dexterity necessary to carry out job responsibilities as listed on job description
• Working knowledge of equipment, including snow blower, power broom, lawn mower, small power tools, floor polisher, vacuum cleaners, etc.
• Knowledge of and respect for Catholic teaching
• Willingness to work days, evenings and weekends, as required
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (40 lbs.)
• Pass background check and complete VIRTUS
• Successfully complete pre-employment physical
