Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy, creating a smooth pickup experience. You will greet customers, verify items, and manage bagging and payment at the curbside pickup area.

This role emphasizes friendly service, efficiency, and teamwork across store departments. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude and respond to questions in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, store leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
