Responsibilities

• Assists faculty and students in the laboratory with daily classroom lab support and classroom instruction.
• Cleans, organizes, prepares, and equips the food laboratories for classroom instruction on a daily basis, which may include lifting, moving, and set-up of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Food/supply inventory, ordering and procurement.
• Prepare invoices for payment, and submit to Coordinator II for processing.
• Receive delivery of products, and maintain records of delivery. Maintain generally accepted HACCAP and sanitation procedures.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise, and maintain work records for student aides and student assistants. Including submission of time sheets.
• Food costing/Recipe Scaling.
• Provides assistance for specialty events within the department, including but not limited to guest lecturers, culinary demonstrations, high school tours, special projects, and class events.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Coordinator II and/or Department Chair.
