Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team on a part-time basis. You will perform high-quality CT exams, ensuring patient care is compassionate and imaging is conducted safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, communicates clearly with patients and radiologists, and can work independently while collaborating with clinical staff. ARRT CT certification or eligibility is required by policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• ARRT CT certification or CT eligibility required.
• State licensure.
• Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced CT examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Verify patient identity, clinical history, exam orders, and appropriate indications prior to imaging.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide reassurance throughout the examination.
• Properly position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Administer oral and/or IV contrast agents as permitted by applicable regulations and policies.
• Screen patients for allergies, contraindications, renal function requirements, pregnancy considerations, and other safety concerns.
• Monitor patients and respond to any contrast reactions or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation.
• Follow radiation safety practices and ALARA principles; maintain a clean imaging environment.
• Assist with workflow efficiency and coordination with front-office and clinical staff.
