Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Scan Technologist (Part Time, 20 hours/week) to provide diagnostic imaging services in a patient-focused environment. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and quality across the imaging process, from screening through post-procedure care, while maintaining clear documentation and efficient workflow.

This role requires graduating from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program and BLS certification, with ARRT CT certification preferred within 12 months or 10+

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT CT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
