Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program, IEMA accreditation, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois IEMA Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.

Responsabilités

• Ensure patient safety during imaging and post-procedure care.
• Produce diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and verify Right Patient/Right Exam.
• Administer contrast per policy and monitor patients.
• Coordinate exam flow and ensure timely documentation.
• Maintain equipment, logs, and image transfer to PACS.
