Job summary

UPMC is seeking a CT Technologist to support the CT Department at UPMC Harrisburg. The position is part-time with a 40-hour per pay period schedule rotating between Day, Evening and Weekend shifts.

Eligible candidates are placed into the CT Career Ladder based on education, certifications, and experience. The role performs CT imaging with contrast, ensures accurate RIS coding and ISITE archiving, and participates in the department's efforts to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
• Ensures exams are properly coded in RIS and archived for interpretation.
• Administers contrast media per physician orders and assesses patient risk factors.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients and explains procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Interacts professionally with patients and colleagues to expedite patient care.
