Responsibilities

• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols.
• Administer contrast as ordered by physician/department policy.
• Ensure exams are coded and archived properly in RIS and ISITE systems.
• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures per protocol with minimal supervision.
• Operate imaging equipment to acquire and document image data per protocol.
• Demonstrate caring, listening, dignity and respect with patients and coworkers.
• Adjust protocols independently when needed to optimize diagnostic quality.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to ease fears and gain cooperation.
