Chamberlain University is seeking a Complex Adult Health/Critical Care Clinical Faculty member for part-time campus teaching. The role covers clinical supervision of nursing students and may include didactic instruction under supervision, with oversight by the course coordinator.

The position requires a master's or doctoral degree in nursing, an unencumbered Michigan nursing license, and at least two years of recent instructional experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Michigan.
• At least two years of professional instructional experience as a registered nurse in the last five years.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.
• Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
• Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.
• Evaluates and provides feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Oversee Clinical training at sites in Troy, Ann Arbor, and Monroe.
• Grades homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.
