Job summary

Utah State University Extension seeks eight part-time Project CREST School Site Coordinators to oversee activities at partner schools. You will facilitate school CREST teams, coordinate parent focus groups, and guide diverse parent engagement groups to support research-based workshops and prevention programs.

This non-benefited, 4-hour-per-week role runs during the school year, with some summer hours and funding through June 2029, possibly extendable.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and fostering partnerships, preferably within schools and in communities.
• Experience working with diverse populations and ability to understand and respect cultural differences.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience planning events or community activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the facilitator of the school's Project CREST team and as the liaison to the USU CREST team.
• Help plan and coordinate a parent focus group to identify school and family needs.
• Organize and facilitate a group of parents representing school diversity to support project activities.
• Guide and support school efforts to select, prioritize, organize, and coordinate project awareness and educational activities.
• Identify barriers to implementation and coordinate communication and problem solving around solutions.
• Facilitate meetings with the school team and parent engagement group to align with needs and data.
• Provide clear communication to enhance school and parent group collaboration and alignment with guidelines.
• Meet regularly with a coach from the USU Project team to customize offerings and schedule programs.
• Attend regular meetings with USU Coach and other School Site Coordinators to evaluate program effectiveness and share learning.
• Connect with community resources to support school initiatives and strengthen engagement.
• Coordinate communications so educational content and events are promoted through school channels.
