YWCA Union County is seeking a Part Time Creative Arts Therapist in Elizabeth, NJ. You will provide individual, group, and family therapies across dance/movement, drama, and art within the PALS program, with intake and assessment duties, documentation, and coordination with shelter staff.

Evening hours may be required. Requires a Master's in creative art therapy, ATR-BC or eligibility, and prior counseling/clinical experience.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in creative art therapy or equivalent.
• Board Certified (ATR-BC) or eligible.
• Prior counseling and/or clinical experience.
• Experience with children, domestic violence, and/or trauma survivors preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work some evening hours.

Aufgaben

• Conduct intake assessments with each child.
• Assist in administering psychological tests to children enrolling in the PALS program.
• Create an individualized treatment plan for each child.
• Collaborate with PALS staff to meet each child's needs holistically.
• Provide individual, group, and family creative arts therapies.
• Ensure safety planning is integrated into sessions where possible.
• Incorporate information on respectful behavior and healthy boundaries.
• Educate parents about dynamics of domestic violence and non-violent parenting strategies.
• Encourage parent-child and sibling bonding through family-based art therapy sessions.
• Attend weekly/monthly staff and supervisory meetings.
• Participate in 40-hour trainings as needed.
• Maintain client records and timely reports.
• Coordinate services with other YWCA programs.
• Provide transportation if needed.
• All positions trained to answer the hotline and shelter shifts.
