Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level Courtesy Team Members to support daily store operations and customer service across Michigan locations. You will gain exposure to various retail tasks related to services offered by our store, including courtesy, merchandise handling, and frontline support.

You will interact with customers and teammates to deliver above-and-beyond service, keeping areas clean and orderly while contributing to a fast-paced retail environment. Join our family and grow with Meijer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store to the interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow when needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist at service desk, store entrances, check lanes, and parking areas.
• Interact with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
