Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking entry-level team members to support daily retail operations in Birch Run, MI. You will assist with cart retrieval, parking lot upkeep, and basic cleaning while delivering friendly customer service.

You will interact with multiple store departments and gain exposure to diverse retail tasks, with opportunities for growth and development within the Meijer Rewards program.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to store interior.
• Manage parking lot, lawn, and interior trash collection.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment during winter.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, check lanes and lot areas.
• Coordinate with departments across the store (Health & Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal & Floral).
• Note: duties may vary and other tasks may be assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
