Job summary

University of the Pacific, Benerd College, seeks part-time instructors to teach Counseling and School Psychology courses, primarily in-person and/or hybrid, for specific semesters. Positions are non-tenure-track, contracted via offer letters, with rank contingent on experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to teach adult learners.
• Demonstrated commitment to and teaching in diverse settings, with students from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for your course, including obtaining the approved syllabus and updating the course schedule, teaching methods, assessments, and assignments as required.
• Teach the assigned course(s) as published in the Academic schedule and noted in the offer letter.
• Use the CANVAS LMS to post syllabus, assignments, and reference materials and communicate with students.
• Provide feedback on submitted student work in a timely manner.
• Meet with students during office hours to provide guidance and assess progress.
• Grade all examinations/papers and submit grades on time.
• Review student course evaluations to analyze perceptions.
