Job summary

Vizor is seeking a part-time Lab Technician to support formulation chemists in our Brooklyn R&D lab located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. You will prepare samples, run tests, record results, and help keep the lab ready for the next experiment.

Ideal candidates show initiative, curiosity, and attention to detail. A chemistry degree is preferred (or being pursued), with emphasis on careful recordkeeping and lab discipline. Snacks and meals are provided occasionally.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry preferred (or currently pursuing).
• Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a hands-on lab, with repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support formulation chemists with sample prep and day-to-day lab work.
• Run analytical tests according to established procedures.
• Record observations, organize data, and flag anomalies for review.
• Repeat tests and refine techniques to ensure reliable results.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, samples, and a clean workspace.
