Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care to patients in a correctional setting. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.

The role requires an active state license, DEA registration, and experience in correctional health or underserved populations. Onsite work is 18 hours per week; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active, valid state medical license
• Current DEA registration, if applicable
• Minimum of 3–5 years clinical practice, with 1–2 years in correctional healthcare or underserved populations preferred
• Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred
• CPR/BLS certification is expected for clinical practice

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated, evidence-based care
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support the mental health program within the facility
