Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse for Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, NJ. The LPN will provide total patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including administering treatments and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements include an active New Jersey LPN license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license for site-to-site travel.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid LPN registration in New Jersey.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Initiates admission processes and identifies recurrent health problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes.
• Collects data through observation and communication with the health team and notifies changes in patient conditions.
• Maintains clinical areas in a clean, safe state and participates in required counts and cleaning assignments.
• Follows infection control policies and adheres to unit guidelines.
• Maintains current professional skills and engages in ongoing professional growth.
