Job summary

Odyssey House of Utah is seeking a Part-Time Correctional Counselor to support inmates with recovery and behavioral goals. You will assess needs, link clients to resources, document services, and coordinate with clinical and correctional staff to ensure safety and continuity of care.

The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for growth, and a strong focus on community impact. A background check is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass Salt Lake County background screening.
• Experience in recovery and facilitating groups is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' needs and connect them with appropriate resources.
• Accurately document services and maintain client safety.
• Provide client skills development and coordinate care with staff.
• Support clients and help implement therapeutic interventions.
• Engage with clients to promote accountability and long-term success.
