Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
- Assist in supervising culinary staff alongside the Culinary Director.
- Support the preparation and execution of dining enhancement programs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas.
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen.
- Follow cleaning schedules and standards.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, and preparation of food according to standards.
- Estimate and communicate food and supply needs.
- Participate in preparing and cooking meals per recipes and menus.
- Monitor and document food temperatures and storage conditions.
- Ensure snacks and beverages are available for residents.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Assist in food transportation and storage.
- Help organize and execute special events and theme meals.

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and residents.
- Strong customer service focus, multitasking ability, and receptiveness to feedback.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety procedures.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 years of cooking experience in healthcare or hospitality; Serve Safe Certification.Experience: Experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred.Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification required.Physical Demands:- Dexterity, visual and auditory acuity.
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs., push/pull carts, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to crouch, kneel, reach, and bend as necessary.
