Job Summary

Summary: Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
2. Advises management on purchasing requirements, focusing on minimizing waste and avoiding shortages.
3. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
4. Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
5. Stores, labels, and dates food items; maintains food rotation to minimize spoilage and waste.
6. Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
7. Operates food-service equipment safely and according to policies.
8. Helps serve meals; remains present during meal periods to gather customer feedback.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
