Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a part-time Cook at Springvale Assisted Living & Memory Care in Michigan. The shift options are 6a-2p or 11a-7p for three days per week, with responsibilities including preparing meals per menus, plating, and assisting other kitchen staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least three years of line cook experience, plus strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure that sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding shortages or outages.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude to support a team environment.
• Promote positive relations with residents, families, and guests.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and security per policies.
• Present a professional appearance with uniform and name tag.
