Job summary

Sunshine Behavioral Health in Raymond, IL is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for clients in a residential setting. You will follow food safety standards and work under the Kitchen Manager to maintain an organized, efficient kitchen.

We value prior cooking experience in healthcare or similar environments, HIPAA awareness, ability to work with dietary needs, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. CPR/First Aid and Food Manager certifications are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Food Manager Certification and allergen awareness.
• CPR and First Aid certification encouraged or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals for clients in a residential setting.
• Ensure all food handling, storage and preparation meet health and safety regulations.
• Provide a safe, clean kitchen and dining area in accordance with regulations.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions as requested.
• Engage with clients during meals to gather feedback on dining experience.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and report issues promptly.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA.
