Maine Community College System is seeking a reliable, part-time Cook I to work 30 hours per week from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. during the academic year at Washington County Community College in Calais, ME.

Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing meals, serving customers, and upholding food-safety standards. The ideal candidate will have vocational training and ServSafe certification, with up to two years of restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• Vocational, technical, or business school training.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Two years’ experience in a restaurant or short order cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take food orders and process payments.
• Prepare meals and serve customers courteously.
• Clean and sanitize utensils and equipment; maintain a clean cafeteria.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with evening dining hall operations as needed.
