Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook at Poinciana Medical Center to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold foods for all meals and events. The role requires adherence to culinary standards, safe handling, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The position is part-time with shifts that vary in days and hours, and pay is $17 per hour. The successful candidate will read recipes, follow instructions, and uphold food safety while maintaining a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan supplies.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation and comply with safety guidelines.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and fulfill duties as assigned.
