Habit Burger & Grill in La Habra, CA is hiring a part-time Cook to bring our famous Charburgers and fresh salads to life. You will rotate through fryer, broiler, make-up, and other kitchen stations and will be trained on food safety and cleanliness.

You will learn each step of the process, with guidance on recipes, safety procedures, and efficient equipment use, while growing your cooking skills in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent teamwork attitude.
• 1 year of experience in related food service position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Correctly prepare all foods served following standard recipes, working on several different orders simultaneously.
• Restocks food items and kitchen supplies; stores and rotates food properly and safely.
• Operate cooking equipment such as flat grills, char broiler, fryer, slicer, etc.
• Comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
• Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment, cooking surfaces and utensils used in food preparation.
