Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Part-time Cook to prepare fresh, nourishing meals for residents with attention to dietary needs and high standards of quality. You will contribute to a hospitable dining experience as part of an appreciative culinary team dedicated to holistic wellness and resident satisfaction.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a busy kitchen while maintaining balance with personal time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide the highest level of culinary service and professional interaction to residents and associates.
• Must work well in a fast-paced environment, be organized, flexible and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of residents and fulfill special meal requests when needed.
• Prepare meals from the menu plan and assist with service of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspect work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards and regulations.
• Follow safe work procedures including injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Label and date all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS--PT Cook

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Cook. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by using fresh ingredients to create nourishing meals from scratch. The culinary team enhances Legend's Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.

Responsibilities--PT Cook

• Providing hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of the residents and fulfilling special meal requests when needed
• Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with the service of the meals
• Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas
• Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
• Following safe work procedures to include injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage
