Job summary

Regalcare at Blackstone Valley is seeking a reliable and compassionate Part-Time Cook to join our team. The Part-Time Cook will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality.

Responsibilities include following menus and dietary requirements, ensuring correct temperatures, cleaning and labeling, assisting with meal service, and coordinating with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience preferred, healthcare/long-term care setting a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Prepare meals and snacks according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Follow modified diets and special dietary needs as directed.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, stored, and served at appropriate temperatures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are presented attractively and served on schedule.
• Properly label, date, and store food items.
• Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule
