Job summary

RFCUNY Research Foundation of the City University of New York in Brooklyn is seeking a part-time Content Specialist to curate and manage program content for its DYCD-funded COMPASS programs. The role oversees activities led by Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and instructors, collaborating with the BCCP team and school administration to review curricula.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of supervisory experience and staff development.
• Advanced knowledge of NYC DOE systems and policies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; equity-focused practice.
• Interest in community work and youth development; culturally responsive teaching.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Curate and manage program content aligned with objectives and youth wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the BCCP team and school administration to select curricula.
• Provide staff support through observation, coaching, training, and development.
• Review or develop lesson plans for scheduled activities.
• Dedicate at least 9 hours per week to each assigned program (up to 3 programs).
• Lead Mental Health Supports implementation to meet DYCD requirements.
• Ensure compliance with NYC DOE, DOHMH, DYCD, and NYS SACC regulations.
• Communicate program needs and feedback to Leadership Team.
• Attend weekly check-ins and participate in ongoing professional development.
