Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee municipal/public works projects in the greater Irvine area, with travel to sites across Los Angeles metro. This is a part-time role with 20-30 hours per week.

Required: BS in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of public works experience; CA PE license is a plus. Strong scheduling, inspection, and contract administration skills are essential for coordinating multiple complex projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• CA professional engineering license is a plus.
• Experience with municipal/public works construction principles and Caltrans standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications and resolve construction issues.
• Review contractor schedules and payments.
• Monitor progress against baselines and milestones.
• Facilitate project closeout and punch lists.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and weekly statements.
