Job summary

A local government agency in Cape Girardeau is seeking individuals for customer service and food service roles within Parks and Recreation facilities. General Definition of Work

• Provide excellent customer service and food service at Parks and Recreation facilities.

Essential Functions

• Communicate effectively with patrons, co-workers, and management.
• Greet walk up customers, answer incoming phone calls, and provide accurate facility information or direct questions to appropriate personnel.
• Food preparation and distribution.
• Prepare food using a deep fryer, microwave, and other equipment.
• Wait on customers and process their orders.
• Count revenue and reconcile with daily summary.
• Report to work on time wearing uniform, prepared to perform duties in a professional and respectful manner.
• Perform general maintenance of concession area.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Possess excellent customer service and public relations skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Previous experience handling cash payments, knowledge of cash register/POS operations and accuracy in counting currency.
• Possess strong computer skills.
• Complete Basic Sanitation Class provided by the Cape County Health Department.
