Job summary

The Blinn College District is seeking a Part Time Instructor - Computer Science to teach in the Computer Science program across campus locations. The role focuses on delivering instruction, maintaining office hours, and staying current with teaching practices.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in CS, plus credentials from an accredited university. Travel to Bryan Campus and other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in computer science.
• All coursework must be from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with instructors, staff, administration and students.
• Ability to instruct students while achieving course learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science classes as assigned by the Dean, Assistant Dean, or Department Head.
• Provide instruction for courses offered at various times, modalities, and locations.
• Maintain regular office hours and remain accessible to students in person, electronically, and by phone.
• Maintain current knowledge in the discipline, including classroom technology.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain an active gradebook.
• Submit all required reports, documentation, and forms in a timely manner.
• Attend institutional meetings and trainings as required.
