Part‑Time Computer Science Course Instructor

Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT) invites applications for an ongoing pool of part‑time course instructors to teach various computer science and information technology courses. Topics include OOP & Java programming, SOA & Web Services, Software Engineering, Networking, Database and Data Mining, Operating System Design, Mobile and Cloud Computing. An instructor in Web services and Cloud Computing is in special need.

Candidates with experience to teach courses in one or more of the above areas are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• create course syllabus
• prepare and give lectures
• develop, distribute, and/or grade course materials, homework, quizzes
• write, proctor, and grade examinations
• maintain and timely submit class records such as attendance and grade reports

Current Teaching Period

2015 Fall quarter (Sep - Dec), 4 hour class for 10 weeks. Contract can be renewed if student learning outcomes prove teaching effective.

Downtown San Francisco, CA

Compensation

$400-$600 per quarter unit based on qualifications and experience. (1 hour per week for 10 weeks is one quarter unit)

Qualifications

• M.S. in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of relevant professional experience
