Job summary

Santa Marta Senior Living is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to safely move residents to medical appointments, shopping, and activities. You will assist residents boarding and exiting vehicles, perform basic vehicle inspections, and keep accurate mileage and fuel logs.

The role requires a patient, compassionate demeanor and adherence to safety protocols. The driver will work 10–15 hours weekly, including Saturdays and select evenings, with extra hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license required; CDL with passenger endorsement may be required.
• Experience driving large vehicles or transporting passengers preferred.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility, including lifting up to 30 lbs and supporting up to 200 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist residents in boarding and disembarking vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure resident safety.
• Represent the organization positively when interacting with residents and families.
